Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make an appointment?

All appointments can be made in person or by calling us on 03 9741 2033. Our practice is open 5 days a week and hours are updated for weekends, public holidays and festive periods.

Do you have same day visits?

Where possible we always try to offer our patients same day visits but we do recommend booking in advance where possible to avoid disappointment. A small number of appointments are reserved every day for emergency situations.

Do you give medical certificates?

Our team of professional GPs do give out medical certificates for relevant health problems when necessary. Please book a standard consultation via our reception team if you are in need of a medical certificate.

Please note that we cannot backdate medical certificates.

Can I get my repeat scripts through you?

To obtain repeat scripts, please book a standard consultation via our reception team.

Your doctor will review your health history, allergies and prescription history and prescribe repeat scripts where it is safe to do so.

Do you have parking?

Yes, we do have onsite parking available to Werribee Medical Centre patients, we are also located within a convenient walking distance of local trains and bus stations.

What should I bring to my appointment?

You should bring your Medicare card, health insurance or any other health service cards which you have been issued with. Patients should also bring any recent test results or allied health information from recent consultations or procedures as well as a current medication list.

If you believe you have any other important information about your health you should also endeavour to provide that to your doctor to ensure you receive the most informed care.

How much will l be charged for a GP consultation?

We are a mixed billing centre. Bulk-billing is available to pensioners, DVA cardholders and children under 16 years of age.

Privately billed patients will be required to pay at the time of consultation.  Payment can be made by cash, credit/ debit card and EFTPOS.

Please see Practice Information Form.

Are there other costs associated with care?

Due to higher operational costs and so that we can provide you with the highest quality care, you may incur out-of-pocket expenses for some services not covered by Medicare such as, procedures, tests, or the provision of medical consumables used as part of your treatment.

A list of fees is available at reception and your doctor will discuss these with you at the time of your consultation.
